Dear Parishioners and Visitors to our churches in Calhoun County,
Under the advisement of medical professionals, doctors and nurses, who are also parishioners of our churches, Covid Safety protocols will remain the same in all churches in Calhoun County. Face masks will continue to be required before entry in all Catholic Churches in Calhoun County. Social distancing, hand sanitizing, and pew sanitizing protocols will continue to be maintained.
At Our Lady of the Gulf, parishioners may need or choose to sit outside on the front porch for Mass. Chairs may be provided. Simply ask an usher. You are also encouraged to bring your own portable chair to use on the porch of the church. Outdoor speakers will allow you to hear the mass clearly so you may participate. The doors will be open, so that you may see through the glass windows of the narthex. Holy Communion will be brought to you at the appropriate time in the Mass. (Those who sit outside on the porch for Mass are not required to wear face masks as long as they maintain proper social distancing between other parishioners who are not of their own household.)
Safety protocols will remain the same (i.e. face masks and temperature checks) when conducting business at the church office.
Out of Christian charity, may we practice these safety precautions for the good and welfare of our brothers and sisters.
God bless you,
Fr. Tommy
Pastor
