SAVE THE DATES:
March 17 - Come join St. Patrick Catholic Church in Seadrift for the celebration of their patronal feastday on Friday, March 17. Mass with Bishop Cahill will be celebrated at 6:00 PM at the church followed by a dinner at the Vietnamese Community Center down the street.
March 20 - Come join St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port O'Connor for the celebration of their patronal feastday on Monday, March 20. The Solemn Feast of St. Joseph is usually on March 19. However, this year it falls on a Sunday of Lent (and the Sundays of Lent trump any feastday), so is moved to the next available day because it is such an important feast. A solemn Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 PM followed by a covered-dish dinner in the parish hall.
July 2-5 - The annual "Quo Vadis" Vocations Camp for Boys will be July 2-5 at Cooper's Farm in Ledbetter, TX. This year's theme will be "Basic Training: going back to the basics of our Catholic Faith." Young men who are currently in 7th grade through 12th grade are welcome to attend. Fr. Tommy and other priests and seminarians of the Diocese will staff this retreat. Registration forms will be available soon.
Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry Fridays (except on Good Friday)
Enjoy a delicious fish dinner with trimmings for $8.00 per plate. Dinners served at St. Jude Hall beginning at 5:00 p.m. until sold out. Proceeds benefit various KC charities.
Daily & Weekend Masses will be held at the OLG Gym until renovations are completed. Confessions will also be held in the gym each Saturday from 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. Most of the parking will be available, but please pay attention to caution signs as some areas will be reserved for the construction. Also, the parking lot at the County Annex is public property and is available for us to use on weekends. Please DO NOT park along Benavides Street! Pictures of the renovation posted on the Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church Facebook page. Please "Like" our facebook page too!!
